Winter is the time for comfort,
for good food and warmth,
for the touch of a friendly hand,
for talk beside the fire.
It is the time for home.

Mary, you find the loveliest of quotes. We are in the midst of a hot summer, but I look forward to the coziness of winter in the home with family and books.
Blessings ~ Wendy

Firesides and wine, what more could a winter-dweller want? And yes, you do find the loveliest of quotes.

Yes, so many wonderful, creative people moved along our time line as we grew from adolescence into adulthood. It is a joy to rediscover these days when we were all too busy studying and having fun to be aware of them.
Winter pleasures and, perhaps judging from some of the comments, the pleasure of growing older.
