“The beauty of that day was almost staggering. After the wet spring, everything that could turn green had outdone itself in greenness and everything that could even dream of blooming or blossoming was in bloom and blossom. The sunlight was a benediction. The breezes were so caressingly soft and intimate on the skin as to be embarrassing.”

Mary, again you’ve selected the perfect quote to go with your picture. There’s no green equal to a verdant spring.

Wendy, thank heaven we can experience spring once every year to lift us upward. Green always does it for me.
Won’t it be wonderful, Mary, when we have that greeness again! Lovely, happy, bright flowers. Margie
It will come.
A beautiful spring garden in full bloom, how lovely! Nice reflection too. 🙂 Enjoy the spring and all the freshness of the green.
We had an unusually colourful spring this year and it has been lovely.
Perfect, and I have been enjoying gardens like this all week in the towns I have visited south of Christchurch.
New Zealand is such a beautiful country, and one we love to visit when we can.
Beautiful flowers and a beautiful description of a beautiful day.
Many thanks for dropping by and leaving your comment.
Green is wonderful, and flowers always are lovely, but there’s something that is equally delightful: that breeze. There’s a certain time here on the Gulf Coast when the breeze is perfect. The temperature of the air and the temperature of the wind are identical, and the air’s movement is so constant and smooth you hardly can believe it. It’s pure perfection.
Sometimes — but not often — it comes from the south, and we call it the Gypsy wind. It makes sailors want to turn and go: now!
The Gypsy Wind, what a romantic and beautiful title. It does make one want to reach for the backpack and set off to explore some far horizon. Oh to wander like a gypsy!
this is beautiful.
Thank you for dropping by and leaving a comment. It is appreciated.
After today’s torrid heat in Brisbane , the prose about the breeze as I sit in the dark savouring the cool night breeze speaks so much to me. Thanks for reminding me of the magic of spring , despite the onslaught of a blazing summer.
Good to hear from you, Robyn. Today the mercury is set to top 40 degrees. We are in for a real kicker of a summer. Climate change must be firmly on the national agenda now before we all roast.
